Google Guaranteed is the verification badge (green checkmark) shown on Local Services Ads for home-service businesses that passed Google's license, insurance, and background checks. Jobs booked through the ad are backed by a limited money-back guarantee for unsatisfied customers, up to a $2,000 lifetime cap per customer in the US. The badge cannot be bought separately; it is earned through Local Services Ads verification.

The guarantee covers the invoiced service amount for work booked through the Local Services Ad only, not property damage, price disputes, add-on work, or jobs that came in through any other channel.
There is no fee for the badge itself: verification is free, and you pay per lead through the Local Services Ads program (typically $15-45 per lead for most home-services trades).
Verification covers business license, insurance, and background checks (owner always; field workers in some categories), and typically takes days to a few weeks.
Any vendor selling 'Google Guaranteed certification' as a standalone product is a red flag, the badge only exists inside Local Services Ads.
Common misconception
Google Guaranteed is not a paid endorsement or a ranking boost you can buy. It is a verification gate: every business running Local Services Ads in a guaranteed category has it, and ranking among badged businesses is decided by reviews, responsiveness, and proximity.
